Ember.js is larger than backbone.js but thanks to expires cache-control this only matters on the the first load

from question

Ember.js or Backbone.js for Restful backend

From what i understand about ember.js which i haven t used yet it has a concept of adaptors which allow it to integrate with a variety of back-ends one exists for django + tastypie so it does a bit more of the work for you;there s also backbone.js which is a much lighter js application framework which can be made to integrate with tastypie very easily

But on the other hand although new the ember.js package is actually more complete imo than backbone.js

from question

What are the key differences between Meteor, Ember.js and Backbone.js?

I think it will also be down to inexperience on my part or bad architecture;ember.js i found slightly more moo-ish as an interface though it did not quite click either;frankly backbone.js was less trouble to setup

from question

Is mootools alternative of jquery + backbone / spine / sprouteCore

Ember.js is 42k minified+gzip while backbone.js is just 5.6kb;ember.js packs a lot of power in it which the barebones backbone.js doesn t give you

from question

Design recommendations needed for single page webapp

Both give you the ability to implement things in a variety of ways which can be confusing but ember.js provides more of the code that you would have to write yourself in backbone.js as standard which for you personally is more important for rapid prototyping than the wealth of backbone.js examples available

from question

What are the key differences between Meteor, Ember.js and Backbone.js?

Ember.js would make things even simpler than backbone.js

from question

Is this a bad / inelegant way to handle this? Would backbone or ember help me?

I already know that ember.js is a more heavy weight approach in contrast to backbone.js
